BOSTON – Doc Rivers goes through this every year. Danny Ainge selects the final pieces to the Boston Celtics’ puzzle in late-February and early-March, and it’s up to Rivers to fit all of those pieces together.

The 2012-13 season is no exception to that rule, as Ainge has added three new pieces to the Celtics roster with a trade for Jordan Crawford and the signings of Terrence Williams and D.J. White. This year, however, is unique, in that this trio of additions is filled with youth.

WALTHAM, Mass. – Thursday afternoon marked the 2013 edition of the Boston Celtics’ annual Black History Month event, in partnership with the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Teenagers from Boston English High School joined Celtics guard Avery Bradley, legend Walter McCarty and recently-retired Celtic Keyon Dooling at the Celtics practice facility to honor and commemorate the history of African Americans.

Jamaica Plain, MA – The Boston Celtics’ Stay in School program, in partnership with Arbella Insurance, has successfully encouraged youth to attend school every day and make education a priority for more than two decades.

Wednesday morning, students from BTU Pilot K-8 School were in for a treat when Celtics rookie Jared Sullinger, Legend Dana Barros and recently retired Celtic Keyon Dooling came to their school for an assembly.
