Re: Gerald Wallace:

"I thought he might play well today. We talked a little bit yesterday. I think he’s a little frustrated coming off the last stretch of games. You kind of sensed that he was going to be focused and ready. He’s such a competitive guy. I really enjoy having him on our team."

Re: The play of Boston's bench:

"The bench changed the game. Phil Pressey’s pressure might have been one of the key factors in changing the game. I thought Gerald and Phil really kickstarted us. I thought (Kris Humphries) did really well off the bench. Courtney Lee banked in a shot and made a couple others. I thought we were pretty good off the bench tonight. I did think it changed the game."

Re: The Celtics' defense:

"“(Brandon) Bass is a really good defender. You can put Bass on other guys with (Jared Sullinger) and (Kris Humphries) because you can then put them (Sullinger and Humphries) on (Al) Jefferson. So that was probably a good thing for us. Sully did a pretty good job on him. Hump did an outstanding job on him. Probably the key to the game was getting them to take contested jump shots because he’s a hard guy to stop one-on-one down there."

Gerald Wallace

Re: His performance:

"I felt pretty good out there. I wanted to go out and just play aggressive, the only way I know how to play."

Re: Playing extended minutes:

"My main thing was to be aggressive. I had a talk with coach and the main thing he wanted me to do was go out and play the way I know how to play and not worry about anything else. The thing I did tonight was be aggressive and try to get to the rim, attack the rim as much as possible."

Re: The bench's performance:

"The main thing was that we wanted to move the ball, be aggressive defensively and get the ball off of our side of the court. The second unit did a great job of making them shift by driving, penetrating and getting to the rim. I think the main thing was that our defense picked up with that second unit and forced some turnovers. We did a great job of taking them out of what they wanted to do."

Re: The game:

"We’ve gotten two good wins on this trip and played good as a team. I’m happy to get these wins. The bench did a great job. In the first half we went out and got the lead, then the Bobcats came back and our bench helped us push the lead back up to 10. Gerald Wallace, all of those guys, they did a great job."

Re: Gerald Wallace:

"He’s giving us everything we need. He’s checking their best player, rebounding, he can pass, he can score. He’s a big attribute to the team and helped us get a big win."

Re: The game:

"It was a tough one. We couldn’t get over the hump. I thought we played hard at times, and in this league you’ve got to play hard consistently. We haven’t been the same team at home as we’ve been on the road, but we’ve just got to find it. I think we will because we have great guys on this team and I think we’ll grow closer and get better."

Re: Charlotte's run in the third quarter:

"We just played hard and we did a lot of the small things. We kept those guys to one shot and got the rebounds, we pushed the tempo and played to our strengths. That’s all it was."

Re: Having Al Jefferson back in the lineup:

"It’s great. It’s good to have him because he makes things a lot easier for us on the perimeter. He’s a vet and he just knows how to play. He knows what it takes to win and he’s that guy that we’ve been needing for a long time."

Re: Importance of winning home games:

"It’s very important. We know we want to protect home and these are the games that we need to win. When you go on the road, it’s tough. We’ve been playing well, but the ones at home are the ones that we must win."

Al Jefferson

Re: The game:

"We came out ready to play in the first and third quarters, but the second and fourth kind of got away from us. Boston just kept it consistent. They had a slow first quarter, but they kept it consistent pretty much throughout the whole game."

Re: His ankle:

"My ankle felt better (today) than it has felt the whole season. I’m continuing to get in better shape. It’s time for me to step in and start doing what I’ve been known to do in the past, to try to put this injury behind me and get back to my old self."
