TD Garden Renovations

BOSTON, MA (May 1, 2014) – The Boston Celtics and Delaware North Companies, owner and operator of TD Garden, and Sportservice, the arena’s concessionaire, fine dining and retail management team, announced today the renovation plans for the Celtics Sun Life Courtside Club and Legends Club, both located on level three of the arena.

The expanded Celtics Sun Life Courtside Club, a private space open to Celtics Courtside Season Ticket Members, will be repositioned and completely remodeled, giving guests closer and more convenient access to the club from their seats, an enhanced game night experience and improved dining options. The design elements of the new club draw from the original Boston Garden and the Celtics’ rich history and tradition while also incorporating state of the art technology, including a 55-foot media wall. The Celtics are working with locally based Cambridge Seven Associates for this project.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to improve the in-game experience for our fans,” said Boston Celtics Team President Rich Gotham. “The expansion of the Celtics Sun Life Courtside Club featuring increased space, upgraded technology and enhanced dining options is just one of the ways we will accomplish that goal for our Courtside Season Ticket Members, sponsors and guests.

As announced last month by Charlie Jacobs, Principal of Delaware North Companies and Boston Bruins, the TD Garden is undergoing a comprehensive, $70 million arena-wide upgrade over the next two years. The extreme makeover of the Legends Club, the arena’s largest hospitality space, includes a reconfigured footprint, modern sports theme design, and refreshed culinary offerings.

The Legends Club footprint will be expanded by more than 2,000 square feet allowing for an increased capacity. The new look of the Legends Club infuses the heritage of the City and the legendary sports moments from the rich histories of the Bruins and Celtics into a modern design, anchored by the original Boston Garden marquee sign. Rossetti Architects are the designers for this portion of the project.

Highlights of the Legends dining experience include a raw bar, brick oven and charcuterie station. Patrons will enjoy a variety of seating options, including communal dining for an a la carte menu and reserved seating for full menu waited service. Two new bars will provide a selection of craft beer in addition to top-shelf drinks. Award-winning Sportservice Chefs will display their culinary talents in an open kitchen concept as they prepare made-to-order meals.

The two year, $70 million renovation project will touch every aspect of the TD Garden fan experience and feature the development of a new ProShop, redesigned modern concourses, the comprehensive renovation of Legends Club and the Celtics Sun Life Courtside Club, and an upgraded technology infrastructure and state of the art solutions from Cisco to support digital fan experience.
