Celtics Announce Rosters For Reebok Pro Summer League
NINE 2003 FIRST ROUND PICKS EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE

BOSTON, MA -- The Boston Celtics announced today the rosters for the 10 teams scheduled to compete in the 2003 Reebok Pro Summer League at the University of Massachusetts-Boston from July 14-20, 2003. Prior to the start of the league, teams will reduce their rosters to a maximum of 12-15 players.

Among the notables expected to play are Boston’s J.R. Bremer, Kedrick Brown and Bruno Sundov, as well as 2003 draft picks Marcus Banks, Kendrick Perkins and Brandon Hunter. The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to showcase LeBron James, who was selected with the number one overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft, in addition to current players Darius Miles, Carlos Boozer and Dajuan Wagner. The Washington Wizards will feature their 2001 first overall pick Kwame Brown, as well as their first round selection in this year’s draft, Jarvis Hayes. Other notables include Milwaukee’s T.J. Ford, who was selected eighth in this year’s draft, as well as Michael Sweetney, who was selected by the New York Knicks with the ninth pick. In total, nine first-round 2003 draft selections are expected to participate in this year’s Reebok Pro Summer League.

The Celtics open the week with their first game on Monday evening versus the Cavaliers at 8:00 P.M.

The Reebok Pro Summer League will consist of two double-header sessions Monday through Thursday, an afternoon double and evening triple-header Friday and Saturday, followed by a four-game slate on Sunday. The league features ten teams, including the Celtics, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the newly crowned World Champion San Antonio Spurs. Rounding out the field are the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards. The schedule will also feature Rivalry Friday, when Eastern and Western conference foes square-off.

Tickets for the Reebok Pro Summer League are $10 for the afternoon sessions and $15 for the evening sessions. Tickets can be purchased by logging on to celtics.com, at the FleetCenter Box Office, by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX
