Celtics On Demand Returns to CSN
BOSTON – (January 18, 2012) – Comcast, one of the nation’s leading providers of entertainment, information and communications, today announced the start of another season of Celtics On Demand in partnership with the Boston Celtics and Comcast SportsNet. The partnership will once again deliver Celtics fans wall-to-wall coverage of the team, ranging from behind-the-scenes features to entire game replays.
The new season of Celtics On Demand returns exclusively to Comcast to put fans in control and give them access to in-depth coverage of the players, team and Celtics Dancers, as well as press conferences and community events produced by the Boston Celtics. Highlighting Celtics On Demand this season is a new series of instructional videos hosted by Celtics players and coaches. Fans of all ages can access “Learn from the Pros” to get expert tips on a wide range of basketball skills throughout the season.
With Celtics On Demand, fans can also hear the team’s outlook on the season experience behind-the-scenes footage of Lucky the Leprechaun; get to know the Celtics Dancers; see what the team is doing off the court; watch the Boston Celtics Golf Classic and take a front row seat at Coach Doc Rivers post-game press conferences.
Additionally, Celtics On Demand enables fans to tune into replays of Comcast SportsNet’s Celtics game telecasts within four hours of the game’s conclusion. Games are available On Demand for 24 hours.
Celtics On Demand programming is updated regularly and is available around the clock with the ability to pause, fast forward and rewind selections for Comcast’s Xfinity TV customers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. It’s easy to access just by selecting the “Get Local” or “Sports and Fitness” categories from the On Demand menu, then choosing “NBA TV” and “Boston Celtics.” For game replays and other Comcast SportsNet content, viewers can then select the “Comcast SportsNet” category. As with the vast majority of Comcast’s 30,000 Xfinity TV On Demand programs available each month, Celtics On Demand comes at no additional cost to the company’s digital cable customers.
“Celtics On Demand is another great way for our fans to keep up with the latest Celtics news and information,” Celtics President Rich Gotham said. “This year we are adding even more original content, including a new series of instructional videos that will entertain as well as inform fans of all ages.”
“Comcast customers can once again enjoy behind-the-scenes access to the Celtics,” said Steve Hackley, Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Greater Boston Region. “Celtics On Demand is perfect for busy fans to stay connected to the Celtics at any time of day or night, with can’t miss features and full game replays that bring them all of the action on or off the parquet floor.”
