BCSF, Citi Performing Arts Team Up

BOSTON (December 21, 2011) – The Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation announced a new partnership with Citi Performing Arts Center by welcoming more than 100 kids and families from community organizations tied to the Shamrock Foundation to an exclusive night at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Families that attended the show were invited to a private reception, the opportunity to take photos with the Rockettes and were treated to a private back stage tour.

“Tonight was a great night for the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation and our partners,” Boston Celtics Co-Owner and Shamrock Foundation President, Stephen Pagliuca said. “I would like to thank our new partner the Citi Performing Arts Center for supplying these families with a once and a lifetime experience that they will cherish for a long time.”

Pagliuca was on hand to present a check for $25,000 to Sue Dahling Sullivan, Chief Strategic Officer and Ruth C. Mercado-Zizzo Director of Education for Citi Performing Arts Center, in recognition of the new partnership and to help create enhanced opportunities for young people, adults, families, schools, community organizations and artists to share and experience the power of the arts in their daily lives.

Organizations represented included Perkins School for the Blind, Children’s Hospital Boston, Horizons for Homeless Children, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC), Berklee College of Music, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston and the Mass Mentoring Partnership.
