Celtics, Cumberland Farms Announce Take-a-Shot Contest

BOSTON (January 4, 2012) – The Boston Celtics and Cumberland Farms announce the second year of the “Take-a-Shot” contest in which ten lucky Celtics fans will be chosen at random to compete in a three-point shot contest at select home games starting in January and continuing through April.

Each contestant will compete in a three-point shot contest between quarters. If the contestant makes the three-point shot they will receive $500 and the chance to shot a half court shot worth $25,000 on the world famous parquet floor. Participants will also receive 4 tickets to the game, a Celtics hat and tee-shirt, as well as a Cumberland Farms prize pack.

“The Take-a-Shot contest is one of our most popular in game contests and we are excited to have it back for another year,” VP of Corporate Partnerships Ted Dalton said. “Any time we can involve our loyal fan-base with our corporate partners it is a win-win for everyone.”

Fans can sign up online at www.Celtics.com, or by mailing in a 3 x 5 card in a stamped envelope with their first and last name, address, and daytime phone number to: Boston Celtics, Attn: “Cumberland Farms Take-a-Shot” Promotion, Corporate Partnership Services, 226 Causeway Street, 4th floor, Boston, MA 02114. All entries must be received between Wednesday, December 15, 2011 and Friday, March 24, 2012. All written entries must be received no later than March 18, 2012.
