BOSTON (December 20, 2005) - Members of the Boston Celtics spread holiday cheer this afternoon, visiting kids at Children's Hospital Boston.
Head Coach Doc Rivers joined players Tony Allen, Mark Blount, Orien Greene, Al Jefferson, Kendrick Perkins, Justin Reed and Delonte West as they visited children throughout the hospital and distributed special holiday gifts. The Celtics also signed autographs and posed for photographs with young patients who could be hospitalized throughout the holiday season.
"I am pleased that the players and I were able to visit with these children and spread a little holiday cheer," Rivers said. "It's rewarding to be able to brighten the day for these kids who may not be able to spend the holidays at home with their families."
The Celtics are committed to improving the lives of their young fans by providing enriching experiences such as these special holiday events. Children's Hospital Boston is a focus partner of the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation.
