BOSTON (March 29, 2010) - Boston Celtics forward Brian Scalabrine, guard Marquis Daniels and Celtics co-owner and CEO Wyc Grousbeck visited the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown today as part of the Celtics Read to Achieve program. The group read "Keep Your Ear on the Ball" by Genevieve Petrillo that features traditional printed pages and Braille pages.

"This was a wonderful opportunity to share the joy of reading with students at the Perkins School," Scalabrine said. "It is a lot of fun not just reading to the children, but having them read to us as well. It is inspirational that these students are able to overcome their disability and have a love of reading."

After reading with the students, the players discussed some of their favorite books and the importance of reading in their lives.
