Celtics Recall Allan Ray from D-League Toros

BOSTON - The Boston Celtics announced today that they have recalled rookie guard Allan Ray from the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League.

In his two games played for Austin, Ray averaged 14.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He led the Toros in scoring in his second game for Austin, scoring 25 points while grabbing four rebounds in a 110-104 loss to the Arkansas Rimrockers on March 3. Ray was 9-16 from the field, including 2-6 from three point land and 5-5 from the free throw line.

The 6'2 guard from Villanova has appeared in 33 games this season for the Celtics averaging 4.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 10.6 minutes per game. Ray is ranked seventh among NBA rookies in three-point field goal percentage with a mark of .391.
