12-6 versus Philadelphia Warriors in the playoffs
"The atmosphere in Philly back then was intense. I remember there was a man in Philadelphia who sat adjacent to our bench and he would start his tirade from the time we started warming up till the time the game ended. The language he used was just obscene it would have made a longshoreman blush."
"Well, I was standing at the free throw line and I had my teammate Jack Nichols stand right in front of the fan. I told Jack I was going to throw him my fastball and that he was to step out of the way. I wound up and threw the high hard one and it caught this son of a gun in the nose and the blood just started to flow. In my memory, that is the best damn pass I threw in my career."
