WALTHAM – Word from Waltham is that Doc Rivers ran the boys hard Thursday morning, as the Celtics practiced for about three and half hours going through offensive and defensive sets, as well as a pretty intense scrimmage that left the head coach pleased.
And instead of coming back for an evening practice, the team had an outing to catch a sneak preview of the eagerly-anticipated Martin Scorsese film The Departed, which is set in Boston, as a reward for their hard work.
Practice resumes tomorrow morning in Waltham and in the afternoon between the double session practices, the team will have a closed, in-house media day to shoot team promotions, photographs and arena scoreboard collateral.
