Szczerbiak, Scalabrine Likely To Return vs. Hawks
WALTHAM - Apparently, Wally Szczerbiak was too busy playing one on one against Brian Scalabrine to talk to reporters, so he addresses them from across the gym.
"Day-to-day, re-evaluated tomorrow," yelled Szczerbiak, who was moving well as he drove to the basket.
"Me too," added Brian Scalabrine, who was guarding Szczerbiak while wearing a knee brace.
"Me too," chimed in Sebastian Telfair, who's presumably healthy but been relegated to minor minutes off the bench as of late as Rajon Rondo has taken his spot as the backup point guard.
Szczerbiak has said repeatedly that he would not rush himself back and wanted to be sure that he's 100% healthy before he makes his return. Celtics Coach Doc Rivers did indicate that Szczerbiak would be coming off the bench if he does play against the Hawks.
"He'll strengthen our bench," said Rivers. Of any possible minutes restrictions on Szczerbiak or Scalabrine should they return Wednesday, Rivers said, "None that I know of, but they both looked pretty good."
