Celtics Draft Central - presented by Sentient.

Pre-Draft Workout Interview: Marcus Williams

Celtics.com: So what's your workout schedule been like?

Williams: "Tiring. Flying around. I've only been home for two or three days. Fly into a city, fly back home. Stay home for a couple of days and fly into another city."

Celtics.com: Who else have you worked out for?

Williams: "Toronto and Minnesota. Minnesota was two days ago."

Celtics.com: Take us through today's workout for the Celtics.

Williams: "We just did shooting at the beginning. The played some 1-on-1 and two-on-two, and then that run at the end."

Celtics.com: How does today's workout compare with the others you've done?

Williams: "Some teams go longer. This was like an hour, Toronto was like an hour and 40. There different lengths but basically the same things. Some teams you get how they want to play. Here, it was basic skills, how you shoot, one-on-one abilities."

Celtics.com: Does this format allow you to show your total game?

Williams: "I might have done better in a five-on-five game, where guys are moving around and cutting. But you've got to make the best of every situation. You show your one-on-one abilities."

Celtics.com: Are you familiar with the Celtics?

Williams: "I've watched them a few times. It seems like they want to get up and down, they play a fast pace."

Celtics.com: What's this whole pre-draft process been like for you?

Williams: "It's pretty much what I expected, but I didn't think it was going to be this stressful. We stopped playing in March, so now I think it's been two months, and I've still got a month to go."

Celtics.com: What was it like to play for Jim Calhoun?

Williams: "Coach has been great for me for three years, and I think he's gotten me prepared for this."
