Pre-Draft Workout Interview: Curtis Stinson
Celtics.com: How was your workout today?
Stinson: "I think it went really well. We got a lot done and played against great competition. I played hard and hopefully everything went well."
Celtics.com: Where else have you worked out?
Stinson: "This is my third. I've worked out for Golden State and the Denver Nuggets. Next, I go to New York, and then I've got Memphis and the Lakers."
Celtics.com: Have you been following the mock drafts?
Stinson: "I try not to do that because I don't want to know that. I'm not on the internet or anything, I just try to go out and play basketball. All I've known how to do my whole life is to just go and play."
Celtics.com: What does the scouting report say about you?
Stinson: "I think they'd say the weakness would be shooting my jumpshot. That's what I pretty much work on all of the time. Im trying to get more confident with it, so I just shoot all of the time. So I shoot as many jumpshots as I can. That would be the scouting report. That's the way it was, not all my life, but in college, it was always, 'give him the shot, give him the shot'."
Celtics.com: So you just have to come out and prove people wrong…
Stinson: "I'm always trying to prove people wrong, but hey, that's life. There's always going to be somebody out there being negative about you, so you've just got to keep working."
Celtics.com: So what about playing under all of these banners today?
Stinson: "A lot of things go through your mind. This is a great franchise, a well-known organization, and who wouldn't want to play for the Boston Celtics? With their old rivalries with the New York Knicks and the Lakers, this is a place where anybody would want to play."
