Bremer
BOSTON (July 17, 2002) -- The Boston Celtics announced today they signed J.R. Bremer to a contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bremer, who led his St. Bonaventure to a 17-win season and an NIT berth in 2001-02, capped a standout college career by finishing fourth in the nation in scoring with a 24.6 points per game average. He was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team, scoring 20 points or more in 24 games and topped the 30-point plateau seven times. He was also named the conference’s Most Improved Player.

His 1,732 career points ranks seventh on the school’s all-time list. He is St. Bonaventure's career record holder for three-point field goals (223), and holds single season school records for three-pointers (88) and free throws (188), and ranks fifth in career steals (185) and seventh in career assists (334).

After going undrafted in the 2002 NBA Draft, Bremer is currently playing on the Celtics team in the Shaw’s Pro Summer League, where he is averaging 9.0 points and 3.5 assists per game.
