Paul Pierce scored 27 points and dished out six assists Wednesday night as the Celtics took control late and held on to beat the 76ers 113-110 at home.
Kevin Garnett added 19 points and Ray Allen had 18 as six Celtics scored in double figures. In the paint, Kendrick Perkins scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Off the bench, Eddie House scored 13 points, including seven big ones in the fourth. Rajon Rondo had seven assists, including three in the fourth, when he scored eight of his 10 points.
Boston next hosts the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Boston Celtics All-Star guard Ray Allen provided a Thanksgiving meal to 275 families pre-selected by the Boston Center for Youth and Families Tuesday afternoon.
Allen's Ray of Hope Foundation, with assistance from Costco Wholesale, Vitamin Water and American Express, served these families with a full Thanksgiving dinner. The families were provided with a non-cooked meal, including a turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, russet potatoes, salad, green beans, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie and beverages.
