2007 Draft Prospects - Corey Brewer
Brewer is another star from Florida's national championship team who's projected to go Top 10 in this year's draft. He was one of the nation's premier defenders this past season while still scoring over 13 PPG and grabbing almost 5 RPG for the Gators.
At 6'9", Brewer has great size and good athleticism for a shooting guard. He projects to be a difference-maker defensively the first day he steps on the court. He has the ability to control games on the defensive end, capable of guarding all three perimeter positions. Offensively, Brewer is finishes well around the basket, and he's a good set shooter from the perimeter. He is one of the most versatile players in the draft.
Brewer needs to work in shooting off the dribble and improving his ball handling to break down defenders at the next level.
Brewer projects to be another immediate impact player from this year's draft. His defensive skills are already at an elite level and his solid ball skills on offense will make him a solid scorer as well. He could be one of the NBA's next great versatile wing players in the mold of a Josh Howard or Tayshaun Prince. He's a sure fire lottery pick and should get Top 5 pick consideration.
