The Boston Celtics are forming a dance team for the 2006-2007 season, and here's everything you need to know about auditioning for the team.

Minimum Requirements:

• 18 years old
• Applicants must have a high school diploma or G.E.D
• Completed Dance Team Audition Registration
• A non-returnable photo of yourself
• Dancers must be able to attend rehearsals two days a week (additional rehearsals may be added)
• If selected, must be willing to relocate to the Boston area and have transportation to rehearsals and games.

What to expect at the audition:

The audition process will consist of a basic across the floor combination including kicks, turns, and leaps. You will be taught two different styled dance combinations ranging from a stylized jazz to a funky hip hop combination. All participants who advance past the initial cut will be asked to perform 4-6 eight counts of their own choreography highlighting their strengths and specialties.

What to wear:

A two piece dance outfit with flesh colored nylons. Legs must be exposed. Please do not wear any baggy t-shirts or pants. You may wear any kind of dance shoe or tennis shoe. Please make sure they have non-marking soles. No high heels.

Hair and makeup should look professional and glamorous!

What to bring:

Food and refreshments will not be provided; please bring plenty of water and snacks to get you through the day. You should also have your makeup and hair products with you for touch-ups. Extra dance shoes and nylons won't hurt!

* We will be accepting applications on the day of the audition. Remember to bring a non-returnable photograph of yourself.
