The Celtics and their partners are committed to building educational and wellness infrastructure in underserved communities. These legacy projects have consisted of beautifying local schools, refurbishing gymnasiums, providing state-of-the-art technology to facilities and creating recreational spaces.

October 27, 2014 - Celtics and Optum Team Up for a Day of Service
The Boston Celtics' preseason schedule noted two trips to Hartford, Conn. in October 2014 – one for an exhibition game against the division rival New York Knicks and a second for a visit to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Hartford’s North End.
September 30, 2014 - Dana Barros, USI Volunteer at Cradles to Crayons
On September 30, 2014, local USI employees joined forces with Boston Celtics legend Dana Barros to volunteer at Cradles to Crayons. Together the volunteers helped to sort clothes, toys and books before packaging them to be sent out to youth in need.
September 5, 2014 - Celtics, HPHC Beautify Hennigan Elementary
On September 5, 2014, more than 150 volunteers pitched in for the seventh straight year to transform the outdoor learning and recreational spaces of the Hennigan Elementary School and its surrounding areas.

The Boston Celtics unveiled a state-of-the-art library powered by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt on the afternoon of January 31, 2014 at Ellis Elementary School.

Holiday cheer filled the Four Season Hotel on December 12, 2013 as third-graders from the John F. Kennedy School joined Boston Celtics forward Kris Humphries and Boston-based educational leader Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for a winter-themed reading event.
