About Season of Giving
Since the 2007, the entire Celtics roster celebrates the Season of Giving by hosting several holiday-themed events for children in need throughout the month of December. Events include an annual holiday party at the Celtics practice facility for 60 kids from homeless shelters across New England.
Youth get the experience of a lifetime as they rotate through activity stations including playing basketball on the Celtics private practice court, eating ice cream sundaes and battling their favorite Celtics players at popular board games. Thanks to generous donations from the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, Celtics players, coaches, front office staff and now fans, each child receives a gift bag that includes some of the must-have holiday toys and gadgets for the season as well as an item from their individual wish list.
Throughout the Season of Giving campaign, players, coaches and of course Lucky, make frequent visits to area hospitals including Boston Children’s Hospital where they help provide some cheer to kids as they visit them in their rooms.
Be a part of the Season of Giving and support the Celtics and the Shamrock Foundation as they make sure that every child experiences the magic of the holidays.
