While walking home from school earlier this month, high school freshman Zach DuBois never imagined he would see his neighbor lying in a pool of blood in the driveway.

Zach’s neighbor had an open gash on his forehead and severe cuts on his legs after falling off a ladder while cutting branches with a chain saw. Zach immediately dialed 9-1-1 for help. Waiting for the ambulance to arrive, he amazingly used his own sweatshirt to apply pressure to stop the bleeding. Thanks to Zach’s bravery and quick thinking, the man is on his way to a full recovery!
