Heroes Among Us

The Heroes Among Us award is a program of the Boston Celtics, presented by the Mass State Lottery.

On the morning of August 27th, David Brogioli (bro-jolly) was out fishing in the Vineyard Sound when he noticed an unusual object in the distance. After realizing it was the bow of a capsized boat, he quickly maneuvered towards the scene and spotted two men struggling to stay alive in the rough waters. Without regard for his own safety, David rescued the fallen crew, called 911 on his cell phone and rushed the men to shore. One of the men was treated for hypothermia but thanks to David's quick actions and poise under pressure, tragedy was averted and both have made a full recovery!

For his life-saving actions, please join us in welcoming David Brogioli (bro-jolly) as tonight's Hero Among Us!
