Heroes Among Us

The Heroes Among Us award is a program of the Boston Celtics, presented by the Mass State Lottery.

Last September, Lisa Beckett arrived at work thinking it would be a normal day. However, she never imagined that she would physically save a person’s life. While on her lunch break, a man sitting close by began to choke on his sandwich.

After witnessing the situation, Lisa immediately rushed to his side. Noticing that he was struggling to breathe, she wasted no time in performing the Heimlich maneuver. Several attempts later, the food was successfully dislodged from his throat and the man began to breathe again!
