Brooks Eckerd Pharmacy Raises $125,000 for United Way of Rhode Island Through Celtics Event
Third Annual "An Evening With The Legends" helps fund after school programs throughout Rhode Island
On March 20th, before the Celtics home game versus the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooks Eckerd Pharmacy raised $125,000 for the United Way of Rhode Island at the third annual "An Evening With The Legends" fundraiser. Celtics legends K.C. Jones, Robert Parish, Tom "Satch" Sanders, JoJo White and Dana Barros attended the event, which benefited after school programs for children in Rhode Island.
"An Evening With The Legends" is a charity event hosted by Brooks Eckerd Pharmacy through their partnership with the Boston Celtics. The event, which is primarily funded through vendor support, raises money for the United Way of Rhode Island's after school programs. These after school programs are designed to provide a fun, safe and educational alternative to middle school-aged children who live in potentially troubled "high risk" areas. Brooks Eckerd Pharmacy has donated over $375,000 to benefit the United Way of Rhode Island over the last three years.
Brooks Eckerd Pharmacy is a proud sponsor of the Brooks Pharmacy Family Section, keeping ticket prices affordable for families all across New England. The Boston Celtics are pleased to partner with Brooks Eckerd Pharmacy as they continue enriching the lives of children and families.
