Celtics forward Walter McCarty took the stage for a rare performance last night at the I Love Music Foundation Benefit Concert at The Roxy Ballroom in Boston. The sold-out event featured performances by McCarty, J Records recording artist Gavin DeGraw, local favorite Averi, emerging artist Tristan Prettyman and the Berklee College City Music All-Stars.

With teammates Paul Pierce, Jiri Welsch, Mark Blount, Ernest Brown, Head Coach Doc Rivers and many other teammates, coaches front office executives and members of the ownership group in the house to support the cause, McCarty wowed the audience singing Justin Timberlake's "Like I Love You" and Maroon 5's current hit "She Will Be Loved" before turning the stage over to DeGraw.

The event, which was hosted by BET star Free, featured a live and silent action with rare autographed Celtics, Patriots and Red Sox memorabilia, tickets to Celtics games and other specialized items.

The concert and auctions raised money for McCarty's foundation, which he created to promote the positive values and importance of music by providing opportunities, resources and education for local area youth. The I Love Music Foundation raises money to purchase instruments for local after school music programs and supports children's music programs, camps, lessons and schooling. Event beneficiaries include the "Rock & Roll Library" and the "Berklee College City Music Program."
