Celtics Cowens Camps

The Celtics Cowens Camps consist of fun-filled, highly energetic, full days of basketball that run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The main goals every day are to:

  1. Improve one’s basketball skills.
  2. Enjoy the numerous competitions, games, and scrimmage.
  3. Meet new friends who also love the game of basketball.
  4. Have fun playing the game of basketball the Celtics way.

Campers will begin each day with a light stretch and quick shoot-around that will prepare them for a full day of high quality basketball. Campers will be treated to lectures from former Celtics players and local high school and college coaches. Campers will also improve their basketball IQ and skill level through various drill stations that focus on the fundamentals of the game. Campers will compete in one of our daily “Contests of the Day”. With a three-tiered division of age groups, the Celtics Cowens Camps guarantee two sets of full-court games each day when campers can test their skills versus peers in their respective age groups.

The week also includes a jaw-dropping performance by the Celtics mascot, Lucky, in his high-flying dunk show. Each week concludes with a closing ceremony where contest winners as well as team and individual champions are acknowledged for their effort and performance. Most importantly, campers will consistently interact with and receive coaching instruction by some of the top high school and middle school coaches and teachers in the area, as well as former NBA great and Hall of Famer, Dave Cowens.
