Select Camps to Feature Appearances by Cavs Players

Students are preparing to scorch up the courts this summer as the National Basketball Academy will again host the Official 2013 Cleveland Cavaliers Summer Camps! The popular youth basketball training camps return to Northeast Ohio and Pittsburgh, PA beginning June 10th. Select camps will feature special appearances by Cavs players Tristan Thompson (June 24-28), Marreese Speights (July 7-11), and Alonzo Gee (July 22-26) for extra instruction from the pros.
Campers will be teamed up by age, skill and gender when possible, ranging in ages from 7-16 years old. The camp curriculum will feature skill development stations such as shot mechanics, ball handling, passing, defense and rebounding. Campers’ progress will be tested by daily skill competitions, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games, and each camp will feature guest speakers to engage and motivate the youngsters. Participants will also receive a personal basketball, wristband, t-shirt, a complimentary ticket to a 2013-14 season Cavs game and a chance to be part of a unique game-day experience.
