Cavs Go ALL IN with Local School

As if the last day of the school year isn’t exciting enough, the students of Joseph M. Gallagher School - a K-8 elementary school located on Cleveland’s Near West Side – were treated to the best “last day” ever on Friday! Their usual daily recess was “crashed” by a Cleveland Cavaliers pop-up caravan, which not only helped the kids celebrate the end of the school year, but also got them “ALL IN” for Friday’s Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

What started off as a typical recess outside, quickly turned into something much bigger. With the students out on the lawn, completely unaware of what they were about to be a part of, out of nowhere came the Wine and Gold. With music pumping and PA announcer Olivier on the mic, suddenly the Scream Team and the Cavalier Girls were there and started performing for the stunned students. Sir C.C. was also there, handing out tons of Cavs items to the kids. It was quite a way to usher out the school year!

And to make sure Joseph M. Gallagher School remains “ALL IN” with the Cavs beyond this year’s playoffs, the team also donated basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, kick balls, jump ropes and hula hoops to the school’s physical education program.
