iHeart Media Cincinnati Joins Cavaliers Radio Network

CLEVELAND – CLEVELAND, OH — iHeartMedia Cincinnati announced today that Fox Sports 1360 WSAI and ESPN 1530 WCKY will join the Cleveland Cavaliers Radio Network, bringing live Cavaliers radio basketball coverage to fans in southwest Ohio for the first time. The stations will broadcast 48 regular season games and playoff games, with each game broadcast including pregame, halftime and post-game shows.

Cavs fans will enjoy complete coverage during the 2014-15 season before, during and after every game. Veteran broadcaster John Michael teams up with Cavalier Legend Jim Chones for the play-by-play call in their fourth season together. Each broadcast starts with the First Merit Tip-Off Show, a 30-minute game preview hosted for the 23rd year by Cleveland broadcaster Mike Snyder. It is a comprehensive look at what is happening around the NBA, including interviews, highlights, game reports, injury updates and a preview of the Cavaliers game with Head Coach David Blatt and John Michael. The post-game Call-In Show is also hosted by Snyder, and features Chones and former NBA and Ohio State star Brad Sellers. The trio will cover game analysis, conduct coach and player interviews and take calls from fans around the state.

“We are excited to bring Ohio’s NBA team to the Tri-State region,” said Chuck Fredrick, Market President, iHeartMedia Cincinnati. “Our listeners and advertisers will be entertained by one of the NBA’s premier teams with the most dynamic player, Ohio’s own LeBron James.”

“We are excited and proud to have a radio home for Cavaliers basketball in Cincinnati with our new partners at iHeart Media Cincinnati,” said Len Komoroski, Cavaliers CEO. “This partnership will provide our Cincinnati area fans another great way to connect with the Cavs as we continue to grow the Cavaliers Radio Network across Ohio.”

Cincinnati fans can also catch the Emmy Award-winning coverage of all Cavaliers 2014-15 regular season games (with the exception of 12 due to national exclusivity rights) on Fox Sports Ohio, the official TV home of the Cavs.
