Cavs Host Sixth “Believe in CLE” Event

Practicing (yoga) at The Q
The squeaks of sneakers, swishes of nylon nets and loud cheers of fans normally heard at The Q were replaced with peace and quiet on Thursday when 600 yogis took over the arena. Instead of the Cavs and their opponents, the court was filled with Clevelanders participating in the latest version of Believe in CLE – a free yoga event.

Since its founding last summer, Believe in CLE has brought thousands of Northeast Ohioans together to practice yoga at well-known Cleveland establishments. Thursday’s event at The Q was the sixth of its kind and followed in the footsteps of great locations such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the 78th Street Studios and Mall B (with Land Studio and the AHA! Cleveland Festival of Lights).

David Gilbert, President and CEO of Destination Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, began the event by speaking about the current Cleveland renaissance. Then Tammy Lyons, Believe in CLE founder and Inner Bliss Yoga Studio owner, lead the group in a vinyasa style yoga practice.

The Cavs very own resident furry yogi, Moondog, also practiced with the group. That meant downward facing dogs with Moondog!
