Cleveland notched its 20th home win of the season after defeating New Orleans 99-84 on Saturday night at The Q. Defensively, Cleveland held the Pelicans to 84 points on 34-87 (.391) shooting, including 5-23 (.217) from the three-point line. The Cavs are a perfect 11-0 this season when holding their opponents to under .400 shooting from the field. The Cavs held New Orleans scoreless for the last 4:19 of the game.

In Saturday’s win over New Orleans, the Cavaliers had three players score 20 or more points (Kyrie Irving-29, LeBron James-27 and J.R. Smith-20) for the 7th time this season. All such occurrences have come in the last 19 games.

After knocking down 14 three-pointers against New Orleans, Cleveland has now hit at least 10 triples on 26 occasions this season and are averaging 10.0 threes per game (5th in NBA). Against the Kings last season, the Cavs made 11.0 three-pointers per game.

The Wine and Gold will hope to have another great shooting night against a Sacramento team looking to get back on track.

Sacramento (21-30) enters Monday's contest having lost seven of their last eight games following last night's 128-119 loss to the Celtics in Boston.

Despite their struggles, All-Star power forward, DeMarcus Cousins, continues to put up big numbers. The sixth-year big from Kentucky is averaging a career-high 27.1 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.36 spg, 1.33 bpg.

Head-to-Head Matchup

The Cavaliers and Kings split the two-game series last season, as each team garnered a victory on their home floor.

The last time these two teams faced off at The Q, Cleveland picked up a 101-90 win on January 30, 2015. In that victory, the Cavs swiped 11 steals and limited the Kings to 30-84 (.357) shooting from the field, including just 3-18 (.167) from behind the arc.

Sacramento’s .357 mark from the field was the third-lowest shooting percentage allowed by the Cavaliers in the 2014-15 regular season.
