CLEVELAND, OH - March 19, 2012 - The Cleveland Cavaliers, Lake Erie Monsters and Glidden® Paint have teamed up to make schools in Northeast Ohio better and brighter through the “Colorful Community Contest”. Three local schools were chosen by the Cavs and Monsters to vie for the opportunity to have a classroom(s), hallway(s) or other space(s) repainted by the experts at Glidden Paint.

Plenty of big-name colleges tout their proud basketball history. Then there’s the University of North Carolina.

The numbers don’t say it all, but they’re impressive. The Tar Heels program has 2,062 wins and an all-time winning percentage of .738. North Carolina has won five National Championships, won the ACC regular season 29 times and its tournament on 17 occasions. They’ve reached the NCAA Tournament 43 times, earning 105 wins and counting. The Heels have made 31 Sweet Sixteens, 25 Elite Eights and 18 Final Fours.

Three days idle. A rotation-changing trade. A starting lineup change to start Sunday’s game and another to start the second half.

Add all these factors up and you’re left with Sunday afternoon’s 103-87 loss to the Hawks at The Q.

The Hawks trailed briefly early in the affair and led by as many as 19 in the second half. Still, the Wine and Gold managed to cut Atlanta’s 19-point edge to just six late in the period. The Cavs would get no closer.
