Since the start of April, the shorthanded Cavaliers had been back to battling for 48 minutes. But for the second straight game, they dug themselves a huge first-half hole and couldn’t recover.
One game after notching just 30 first-half points, the Cavaliers netted just 38 before intermission on Tuesday at The Palace.
They allowed the Pistons to score a season-high 61 points after two quarters and Detroit didn’t let up from there – scoring the first 16 points of the second stanza and running out to the one-sided 116-77 decision.

(On game): "One of the worst games we’ve played in a long time. I give the Pistons a lot of credit. They played 10 times harder than we did and were ready to play from the start of the game to the finish. We looked like we were a step or two slow on every play especially on the defensive end."
Wednesday, April 25th is Cavaliers Fan Appreciation Night presented by HorseShoe Casino Cleveland at The Q, a big deal in itself, but this year Cavs’ longtime sponsor Cub Cadet is bringing something really cool to The Q. An experience like no other — the Cub Cadet Test Drive Challenge Tour makes its Cleveland debut at The Q! Hosted by the Cavs, the official Cub Cadet hauler roars into town the morning of the 25th, midway through its 90-city tour, to set up the Test Drive Challenge on the plaza between Quicken Loans Arena and Progressive Field from noon to 7:30 p.m.
