CLEVELAND, OH As the Cleveland Cavaliers gear up for the 2012-13 season, FOX Sports Ohio gets fans ready with special Cavs programming and features throughout the month of October, or “Tip-tober”.

In the return of Tip-tober, FOX Sports Ohio features various programs, including two Cavaliers preseason games, two Cavaliers Showcase replays, one Cavaliers Roundtable, Cavaliers Live: Season Preview, and Access Cavaliers.

In just over a month, they’ll represent the Cavaliers. Over this past summer, they represented their country.

A pair of the Wine and Gold’s international stars, Anderson Varejao and Omri Casspi, spent the offseason suiting up for their homeland – Varejao for his Brazilian team in the 2012 Summer Olympics and Casspi for the Israeli squad in the EuroBasket Championship qualifiers.

That’s how many names were called were called on June 28, the night of the 2012 NBA Draft. And none of those names was “Kevin Jones” – the man who led the one of the toughest conferences in the country in scoring and rebounding.

While Jones and his family waited for the call on that Thursday night, NBA Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver ran through the Draft’s second round, with names like İzzet Türkyılmaz and Ognjen Kuzmić and Tomislav Zubcic coming off the board.

Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. America and all the ships at sea! Me – I’m an Optimist. You are Cavalier fans. Let’s cut through the crap and get busy with another episode of NEWS … AROUND … THE … LEAGUE. And let’s do it Gangnam Style.

C.J. Miles is genuinely happy to be a Cleveland Cavalier. It only takes a minute of talking with him to realize that.

Miles, one of the last high school players ever taken in the NBA Draft, is entering his eighth year in the league and doesn’t turn 26 until mid-March. (He said Kyrie’s already making old man jokes about him in practice.)
