Cavaliers to Host 2005 “Wine & Gold” Scrimmage and Fan Fest at The University of Akron - Thursday, October 6th

The special pre-season event will include an outdoor Fan Fest featuring many interactive games and activities for the whole family. The Cavalier Girls will meet and greet fans and mascot Moondog will be unleashed and up to his antics. Fan Fest will be held outside Rhodes Arena from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It is free to the public and a ticket is not required. Doors for the scrimmage will open at 6:00 p.m. A ticket is required for the actual scrimmage inside the arena.
“We are pleased to bring the Wine & Gold Scrimmage back to Rhode’s Arena for the second year,” said Cavaliers President Len Komoroski. “With the strong fan base and support we have in the Akron area, it is the perfect place to host the on-court debut of the 2005-06 Cavs.”
Entrance vouchers for the scrimmage will be available at participating northeast Ohio ALLTEL locations throughout Cleveland, Akron and Canton starting Sunday, September 18th. Beginning Monday, September 19th, vouchers must be redeemed for general admission tickets for the scrimmage at The University of Akron box office or the Quicken Loans Arena box office. There is a limit of four vouchers redeemable per person, and, although the scrimmage is open to fans of all ages, only those 18 years or older may pick up vouchers. Seating capacity is limited, therefore receiving a voucher does not guarantee an admission ticket. Fans are encouraged to redeem their vouchers for tickets prior to the day of the scrimmage.
