First and foremost, I want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for your loyalty and commitment to remaining a part of our Cavaliers Family. We are excited and confident about our future, and we never take for granted that our Season Ticket Holders like YOU are at the center of it all.
As you probably are well aware, all of the NBA’s efforts are currently focused on reaching an agreement with the NBA Players’ Association. Our goal is a sustainable business model that enables all 30 teams to be able to compete for a championship, fairly compensates our players, and ensures a world-class experience for our fans. Let me assure you that all of the league’s efforts are focused on reaching an agreement that is in the best interests of the teams, the players, the fans, and the game.
As a Season Ticket Holder, we understand that you may have questions about the current labor situation and how it affects your investment for the 2011-2012 season. That’s why we wanted to let you know that, in the event an agreement is not reached in enough time to avoid games being missed, we have created a special Cavaliers Loyalty Benefit that will increase the value of your season ticket investment with us by 5% for any games missed. This benefit is of NO additional cost to you. You will also be able to select two items from a list of fun additional benefits to add to your account as well. In addition, your 2012-2013 Season Ticket Price will be frozen. Again, this value added approach has NO cost to you. A complete description and explanation of this special benefit is included with this letter. If, for some reason, you do not wish to take advantage of the Cavaliers Loyalty Benefit, you will receive a refund in the amount you paid for each game missed, plus simple interest at the annual rate of 1%.
While we hope that this won’t be necessary and we will be playing games as scheduled, we want you to have confidence in knowing a benefit is available to you and will protect, and even add value to, your investment with us. Your current payment plan, seat location(s), account tenure and benefits will all remain firmly intact.
