HEAD COACH MIKE BROWN
(On tonight’s game):
“Defensively, we were pretty good. All of our guys, Mo, Delonte and Gibson, were good on the ball. Everybody seemed like they were flying around the ball to help one another and contest shots. I was pleased with our defensive effort and focus tonight. In the first half, we got away from getting the defensive rebounds, and even some offensive rebounds. Offensively, I thought we were really efficient.”

(On Delonte’s return):
“It was good to see Delonte and Z combine for 23 points. Delonte can play…he really affects the game in a lot of different ways. He’s a guy who can score, but also run the team and distribute the ball at the right time. (That stretch in the third quarter) we were really starting to struggle to score and he kind of took over. The fans were extremely supportive; it was a great response that was well deserved.”

(On the team’s direction):
“I’m proud of our effort. I think we’re taking steps in the right direction and we still have a long way to go. I think the guys understand that and in time, we will be a very good basketball team. We’re pretty good right now, but we have the chance to be great.”

LEBRON JAMES
(On having Delonte West back):
“I’ve said it before that Delonte is one of those guys that doesn’t need to do anything. He can sit out for two weeks and he comes back in and he’s right in the flow. I’ve said it before, he is just that type of guy. It wasn’t a surprise that he was able to come out tonight and still be in a comfort zone.”

(On the fans’ reception for Delonte):
“Unbelieveable honestly. We have great fans and if you are a part of this team, they get behind you. I think that was great that these fans did that for him because they didn’t have to at all. They’re great. They’re unbelievable.”

(On the team’s play the last two games):
“We look good, especially because we played with a sense of urgency the last two games. We weren’t waiting until we got down or we didn’t wait until somebody said something in the huddle, we started from the beginning. At times teams may score and we may not get a few stops, but we always feel like we were playing with a sense of urgency and we started to get stops.”

(On being a catalyst for offensive production tonight):
“For me it doesn’t matter. Whatever the defense gives me. I’ve been like that ever since I started playing the game of basketball as a young guy. If I have guys that are open, I’m going to hit them and they are going to knock down shots. They did that tonight. When I needed to get it going a little bit in the third (quarter), I did that. Whatever it takes to win.”

SHAQUILLE O’NEAL
(On his shot selection):
“At this point in my career, I try not to take bad shots. If I have the hook in the middle (of the lane), I take it, but if I feel I’m doubled, I have a lot of shooters around me so I look for my shooters.”

(On finishing the four-games-in-five-nights stretch):
“We have a day off tomorrow and then we have to get right back at it Monday. We’re starting to click, look good and feel good out there together. It’s going to be fun.”

(On Delonte West tonight):
“He looked good…It’s vital that we have everybody there as we take this journey. He looked good; he looked excellent. I know he’s going to get better.”

(On his strong defensive effort tonight):
“I’m here to do the little things: block shots, help out on defense, rebound. We made a conscience effort after our second loss to just scramble and help each other out and not worry about just our guy.”

(On the luxury the Cavs have with him and Zydrunas at center):
“I realize we’re going to share minutes. It’s vital that we just go out there and give it all we’ve got. It’s good to have an excellent big man as a backup. I’ve said it before – myself and him, we are the best center in the game.”

BOBCATS HEAD COACH LARRY BROWN
(On seeing some good things out of his guys tonight):
“I saw a lot of good things, but unfortunately I keep seeing the same bad things. I am proud of my team. They’re great. LeBron scored 14, but he could have had 50 the way he played, (he was) just so unselfish. Mike does a great job of putting them in the right spots. Their guards were phenomenal tonight.”

(On fatigue possibly playing a role):
“No. They played last night (too). I can’t take anything away from them; they made shots and got us to turn the ball over. When we did, they made us pay.”

TYSON CHANDLER
(On feeling more in sync):
“Today I felt better. I am still working my way back. I feel like every game I am going to continue to get better, because I am going to get stronger and my legs are going to get stronger. My wind will get better and my timing will get better.”

(On the addition of Shaq to the Cavaliers):
“It adds another element to their team. Shaq wears you down and the game becomes more of a half court set. He is going to be really important for them. He did a good job tonight of clogging up the paint.”
