The Cavaliers have released their promotional giveaway schedule for the 2004-2005 season, which features many items that will be “must haves” for fans with the collector’s spirit. From bobble heads to stretch dolls and t-shirts— culminating in a shower of gifts on Fan Appreciation Night, it will be a season of giving as the Cavaliers celebrate their 35th Anniversary. The team also announced that new this year, all fans with a ticket to a game will receive the item being given away that night.

"Our fans have told us that they really enjoy the collectable giveaways and we're happy to be able to increase this program this year so that all fans coming to games on giveaway nights will receive these special items. Now the only thing needed is a game ticket. No more age limits or camping out necessary. Everyone coming to the game that night will receive one," said Cavaliers President Len Komoroski.

As part of the 35th Anniversary celebration, the Cavaliers will present six Hardwood Classics events to commemorate great moments in the franchise’s history. During these games the team will play in classic uniforms similar to those worn by the 1975-76 “Miracle” team.

What is sure to be one of the hottest promotional giveaways of the season is a LeBron James Bobble Head Hardwood Classics edition, presented by KeyBank. This collectable has James decked out in the 1975-76 Cavaliers uniform. The ticket to own this limited edition collectable will be for the Cavaliers vs. Golden State game on Monday, November 15th.

Other giveaways include a Mini Bobble Head Collector’s Series of five featured Cavaliers players. Each mini bobble head, attired in the team’s wine road uniform, stands three inches tall and will be given away at designated games. A display stand for all five bobble heads will be given away on November 10th with the Zydrunas Ilgauskas doll.

#1 Wednesday, November 10th vs. Phoenix -- Zydrunas Ilgauskas (with display stand)
#2 Tuesday, December 7th vs. New Jersey -- Jeff McInnis
#3 Wednesday, December 15 vs. Portland -- Eric Snow
#4 Wednesday, February 23 vs. Chicago -- Drew Gooden

On Tuesday, January 11th when the Cavaliers host Charlotte, fans attending the game can make “Z” grow when they receive a Zydrunas Ilgauskas Stretch Doll. The 7’3” center with long legs and a massive wingspan is the perfect choice for the 7-inch doll that can be stretched up to three times its length and then scrunched back to regular size.

In addition to these unique collectable giveaways, fans will take home 2004-2005 Cavaliers Schedule Magnets presented by Ticketmaster, and thunder sticks, presented by Giant Eagle and Kraft, at the season home opener on Wednesday, November 3rd vs. Indiana.

On Wednesday, January 5th vs. Atlanta, the Cavaliers will hit the Gund Arena hardwood for the first time in 2005 clearly aware of the tremendous fan support they enjoy at the corner of Huron and Ontario. All fans will be given a t-shirt courtesy of Cleveland Clinic, and encouraged to wear it during the game as a sign of unity and support for the team in helping create the Cavaliers' home court advantage.

The regular season ends at Gund Arena on Tuesday, April 19th when the Cavaliers take on the Boston Celtics for Fan Appreciation Night. The game night will be a celebration of thanks to fans for the enthusiastic support they have shown during the season. Last season, fans were showered with over $250,000 worth of prizes and players gave them the “shirts off their backs and shoes off their feet”. This season promises to be bigger and better.

One item per ticket will be distributed to fans at promotional giveaway games. Last season, the Cavaliers had the largest single-season attendance increase in league history, which included 16 sellouts. For the 2004-2005 season, purchasing a 21 or 10-game partial plan is one way to guarantee tickets for promotional giveaway nights and to the biggest games this season.
