"CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Looming 10 stories tall, LeBron James once again will guard one of the gateways to downtown.

The Cleveland City Planning Commission voted Friday to approve a massive banner showcasing the basketball star. Sponsored by Nike Inc., the 1.3-ton wall display will span roughly 25,000 square feet on the eastern face of the Landmark Office Towers, the Sherwin-Williams Co. headquarters complex at the back of Tower City.

Commission members signed off after minimal discussion. The only dissenting vote came from Councilwoman Phyllis Cleveland, who said she prefers the current banner, a colorful Sherwin-Williams-sponsored depiction of buildings, bridges and city landmarks.

Sherwin-Williams and Gigantic Media, a Chagrin Falls company, plan to install the LeBron banner before the first regular-season Cleveland Cavaliers home game on Oct. 30." CLICK HERE to read full story.

Lou Amundson signs one-year deal with Cavaliers
Author: Jason Lloyd
Publication: Akron Beacon Journal

"Lou Amundson signed a one-year, nonguaranteed deal with the Cavaliers, a league source confirmed. Although the Cavs’ rebuilt roster is filling up fast, the veteran journeyman stands a decent chance at making the final cut.

Amundson, 31, has already played for eight teams in eight years, averaging 3.6 points and 3.5 rebounds. But he is a gritty defender and could bring a certain toughness to the post. He’s listed at 6-foot-9 and 225 pounds, but the Cavs believe he can block shots and use his athleticism to defend at the center position despite being undersized." CLICK HERE to read full story.
