AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – LeBron James tried a new approach against the Detroit Pistons, and it didn't work.

Looking to score early and pass to teammates later in the game – thus completely flipping the script on how he's played all season – James and the Cavs fumbled away a 10-point fourth quarter lead and lost to the Pistons, 104-99.

James scored 23 of his game-high 30 points in the first half, with five coming in the final quarter. He passed Jerry West for 19th on the NBA's all-time scoring list (25,192 career points) with 10 quick points in the first quarter, then reeled off 11 straight in the second. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Inside a building that has witnessed a number of LeBron James' most memorable moments, it appeared he was headed for another. Engaged and aggressive from the opening tip, James scored 10 of his game-high 30 points early and had 23 at the half, helping spark the offense to a season-high 56 points on 56 percent shooting.

But James and the Cavs went quiet in the second half. James was held to seven points on 3-of-8 shooting. The Pistons erased a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, handing Cleveland its second straight loss, 104-99.

"We need to toughen up," Cavs head coach David Blatt said after the game. "I didn't think we displayed the kind of toughness that made us a team last year. I didn't see that the last two games and we need to toughen up. Every aspect." - CLICK HERE to read full story.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- LeBron James said the Golden State Warriors are hungrier than his Cavaliers, and that's a problem.

"We haven't done anything," James said, following the Cavaliers' 104-99 loss to the Detroit Pistons, Cleveland's second-consecutive loss and third this season. "We didn't win anything. We lost. We lost in the Finals. So, that's enough motivation for myself. I think we need to understand that.

"Like, we lost in the Finals. We didn't win. And the team that beat us looks more hungry than we are. So it shouldn't be that way." - CLICK HERE to read full story.
