CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Scribbles in my Cavaliers notebook after the 105-103 overtime loss at Houston:

1. Maybe if LeBron James had made those two free throws with five seconds left we would not be having this discussion. Or if James had made almost any free throws (he was a shocking 3-of-11), perhaps I would have saved this topic for another day. But here we go: The Cavs fell into some very bad basketball on the offensive end of the court, and this presents a real challenge for Coach David Blatt.

2. Yes, Kyrie Irving was out with a sore shoulder. And yes, this game at Houston had all the vibe of the playoffs, players pushing, grabbing and even a few cheap shots. Yes, James is the best weapon the Cavs have on offense. But even a four-time MVP can't do everything. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Almost any dunk can inspire a catch phrase in basketball, whether it is a "Dipper dunk" or or simply taken "with authority!"

Blocked shots receive the back of the hand figuratively, although it's really more like the heart of the palm. Austin Carr shouts on Cavaliers telecasts, "Get that weak stuff outta here!"

Three-pointers are taken from "deeeep" in the building in which the Cavaliers are playing. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

CLEVELAND -- James Harden was suspended for the Houston Rockets' next game without pay by the NBA on Monday for kicking LeBron James in the Cavaliers' overtime loss Sunday, the league announced.

The kick, with 2:08 left in the third quarter, was to James' private parts. Harden was initially called for a Flagrant One foul, which meant the Cavs received two free throws and the ball but Harden was allowed to stay in the game.

The play occurred after James tied up Harden for a jump ball. - CLICK HERE to read full story.
