CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Scribbles in my Cavaliers notebook about Tristan Thompson, Joe Johnson and Anderson Varejao:

1. Before talking about the money, let's start with this question: Would you rather have Joe Johnson or J.R. Smith as a shooting guard? The basketball answer should be Johnson, the 6-foot-7 veteran who averaged 14.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and shot .435 from the field (.359 on 3-pointers) for Brooklyn last season.

2. Johnson is durable, having missed only five games in the last two seasons. He's a good teammate, a quiet guy. His game should blend into what the Cavs need at shooting guard -- a guy who can shoot, but doesn't dominate the ball. He is also a decent defender. He can play some small forward. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – It was a Tweet instead of a Sports Illustrated bomb, but for the second consecutive July a free agent joined the Cavaliers to the words "I'm coming home."

Veteran point guard Mo Williams agreed to terms on a two-year deal worth $4.3 million with the Cavs on Monday, returning to the franchise where he and LeBron James once dominated the NBA regular season together but fell short twice during the playoffs.

Williams, who can back up Kyrie Irving or start if Irving's knee is not fully recovered from surgery when the season begins in October, confirmed his return via Twitter. - CLICK HERE to read full story.
