The Cavs could have a luxury tax bill of $50 million...maybe even $70 million for next season.
I'm not even going to play the payroll projection game because not all the summer moves have been made.
But I do want to address the big picture and things that should be remembered when looking at the Cavs situation.

FRESNO, Calif. – The Cleveland Cavaliers wasted little time knocking out a couple of free-agent priorities on July 1, the first day of free-agency.
The franchise is executing its plan of attack. General Manager David Griffin and his front office staff are working tirelessly.
However, restricted free agent Tristan Thompson wasn't among that group of players to strike a deal and he, in many ways, is the most important signature they need.

Free agent Rodney Stuckey reportedly receiving interest from Cleveland Cavaliers

FRESNO, Calif. – The Cleveland Cavaliers reached out to point guard Rodney Stuckey to gauge his interest, league sources informed Northeast Ohio Media Group.
I'm told that Stuckey is intrigued with the possibility of joining the Cavaliers, but at this juncture the conversations are exploratory, a source said.
He made $1.2 million last year with the Indiana Pacers. The Cavaliers only have the taxpayer mid-level exception that pays approximately $3.4 million to offer him.
