Cleveland Cavaliers officially extend qualifying offers to Thompson, Shumpert, Dellavedova

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cavaliers announced on Tuesday that they have extended qualifying offers to forward Tristan Thompson, guard Iman Shumpert and guard Matthew Dellavedova.

All three players will officially be restricted free agents. The qualifying offers were expected as General Manager David Griffin said he would issue them during his end-of-season address. It will give the club the power to match any offer sheets the players receive.

Thompson, 24, is the team's top priority of this group. He turned down a four-year, $52 million extension in October. He is seeking a salary close to the max and it is anticipated the Cavaliers will give it to him. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

Kevin Love knows just how close Cavaliers are to winning a title -- Bud Shaw's Spinoffs
Author: Bud Shaw
Publication: Cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Assuming Kevin Love wasn't pulling up a chair for the first annual Marco Polo fantasy draft and LeBron James showed up unannounced for the same reason, teammates hanging poolside in L.A. could be considered encouraging, no?

Even if it didn't make so much sense for Love to re-sign with the Cavs (which it does), the picture shared on social media would seem to qualify as a "fit-in" moment in a relationship more over-analyzed than the NFL draft.

The Cavs need Love. Ignore the argument that they reached the NBA Finals and won two games without him. James can't shoulder that burden forever, maybe even not for another postseason. Besides, the idea for the Cavs' front office (that's not you, LeBron) should be to make it easier to win a title, not harder. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

Curry's No. 30 Golden State jersey was the NBA's top seller for the playoffs, besting James' No. 23 Cavaliers shirt from April through June, based on sales through NBAStore.com.

Curry's Warriors edged James and Cleveland 4-2 in the Finals. The Warriors were also the NBA's best seller for merchandise during the playoffs, ahead of the Cavaliers. - CLICK HERE to read full story.
