Though Cavaliers are in rest mode, they continue to make life miserable for teams

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cavaliers may not have a huge incentive during these final three games of the regular season, but they certainly control the fate of a few teams facing a high-stakes week.

As of Saturday morning, the Indiana Pacers are ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, one game behind the final playoff seed held by the Brooklyn Nets. The Boston Celtics -- with the same 37-42 mark as the Nets -- are seventh because they own a tiebreaker.

The Miami Heat are two games out of the playoff picture with three games remaining. They're hours away from being toast, barring a miracle. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

NBA notes: Individual statistical titles go down to wire

Just days remain in the 2014-15 regular season, and many of the individual statistical titles remain too close to call.

The scoring title is neck-and-neck between Houston’s James Harden and Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook. Westbrook is first at 27.484 points per game. Harden is a whisker behind at 27.462.

In a recent showdown between the Rockets and Thunder, Harden erupted for 41 points and Westbrook added 40.

Harden is gunning for the first scoring title by a Rockets player since the franchise moved to Houston in 1971. If Westbrook prevails, he would join 2013-14 scoring champion Kevin Durant as the first set of teammates to claim back-to-back scoring titles since Philadelphia’s Paul Arizin and Neil Johnston, respectively, in 1951-52 and 1952-53.

LeBron James is third in scoring at 25.2 points per game. - CLICK HERE to read full story.
