Cavaliers Announce 2009-10 Preseason Schedule

CLEVELAND, OH - August 6th, 2009 - The Cleveland Cavaliers will play an eight-game preseason schedule in preparation for the 2009-10 NBA regular season, presented by Cub Cadet Premium Lawn Equipment, including a game against Olympiacos Piraeus of Greece at Quicken Loans Arena. Cavalier fans throughout the region will be able to see the team in person as the Cavaliers will play three games at Quicken Loans Arena during the preseason, in addition to hosting neutral site games in Pittsburgh, PA, and Columbus, OH.

Cleveland will open with two games against the Charlotte Bobcats, including the preseason opener at Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7:00 p.m. and then take on the Bobcats on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, SC. Cleveland returns home to play Olympiacos Piraeus of Greece on Monday, Oct. 12 at 7:00 p.m. In the Cavs final preseason game at The Q, the Cavaliers will match up with the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m. The Cavaliers will then travel to Texas for back-to-back games to first face-off against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m., and then face the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. The Cavaliers travel next to Pittsburgh, PA in a rematch against the Mavericks on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Cleveland’s preseason will conclude in Columbus, OH at The Ohio State University’s Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m.

All games will be broadcast live on WTAM 1100 AM with Joe Tait calling the action for all eight contests.

Ticket sales information for Cavaliers preseason home games, including Pittsburgh and Columbus, will be announced at a later date.
