CLEVELAND, OH - April 17th, 2008 -The excitement of post season action starts this weekend at The Q when the Cavaliers host the Washington Wizards for the first of two home games (in a best of seven series) of the 2008 NBA Playoffs. Game 1 is on Saturday, April 19th at 12:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN. Game 2 is on Monday, April 21st at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on TNT. Both games will also be broadcast locally on FSN Ohio and simulcast on WUAB TV 43. Tickets for both games are sold out, but fans can enter the ticket lottery for future playoff games at Cavs.com.

As the Cavaliers make their way through the playoffs, fans will have many opportunities to Rise Up! and show their support for the team and have some fun.

FAN FEST presented by FSN Ohio
Prior to every home playoff game, Fan Fest presented by FSN Ohio will take place on Gateway Plaza two and a half hours prior to tip off. The festivities will include free interactive basketball games for fans of all ages, performances by the Cavalier Girls and the Scream Team, the Cavaliers Legends will sign autographs, and there will be contests, prizes and more. The FSN Ohio pre-game show “Cavaliers Live” will broadcast from Gateway Plaza beginning an hour prior to the start of each game.

SPECIAL GIVEAWAYS
For each home game, every fan in attendance will receive a Rise Up! t-shirt and rally towel courtesy of the Cavaliers family of corporate partners. Game 1’s free t-shirt is courtesy of KeyBank and the rally towel is courtesy of Dick’s Sporting Goods. For Game 2 the free Rise Up! tee is courtesy of FirstMerit and the rally towel is presented by Jif/Smucker’s. Ten thousand (10,000) Nike “Witness” fan scrolls (handheld roll-out banners) will be given away to fans attending Game 1 at Fan Fest and inside The Q, with more to be distributed throughout the playoffs.

WATCH PARTIES presented by Bud Light
When the Cavaliers are playing on the road, the Official Cavaliers Watch Parties, presented by Bud Light, will be the hot spots for fans to gather. The Cavalier Girls, the Scream Team, Moondog and Ahmaad will entertain fans and giveaway prizes throughout each game as everyone comes together to enjoy the festivities, catch the action live on big screen TVs— and to cheer on the Cavs!
