Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers will “Light It Up” and “Raise It Up” to Tip off the 2007-08 Season in Halloween Night Home Opener

CLEVELAND, OHIO - October 28, 2007 - The reigning Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers will tip off the 2007-08 season presented by Cub Cadet Premium Lawn Equipment at Quicken Loans Arena on Halloween night, Wednesday, October 31st vs. the Dallas Mavericks at 8:00 p.m. A special treat will be the pre-game ceremony when the Cavaliers and fans celebrate the raising of the 2007 NBA Eastern Conference Championship banner.

Fans attending the Cavaliers home opener will enjoy all the fun and festivities of Halloween from trick or treating to the player’s wearing their orange jerseys for that night’s game and more! The FSN Fan Fest will take place on Gateway Plaza from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Fans can enjoy interactive games, shoot hoops and watch special performances by the Cavalier Girls and the Scream Team. The FSN Ohio pre-game show “Cavaliers Live” presented by Toyota will also be broadcasting live from the plaza from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The city of Cleveland will be asked to “Light It Up” for the national television audience. The game will be broadcast on ESPN, and simulcast locally on FSN Ohio and WUAB 43.

The trick or treating will start with THREE GREAT GIVEAWAYS for every fan that attends the game - a 2007-08 Cavaliers Schedule Magnet presented by Ticketmaster, an Eastern Conference Championship replica mini banner presented by Northern Ohio Toyota Dealers, and a Cavs rally towel presented by Time Warner Cable. Fans can continue to fill their bags on The Q’s concourse with candy and treats as they make their way to their seats in time for the pre-game banner raising ceremony at approximately 8:05 p.m. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.

R&B artists J. Holiday, who currently has a Top 20 Billboard single, will sing the national anthem, and Angie Stone, whose album debuted on the Billboard Top 20, will perform at halftime. The Cavaliers' Scream Team will perform their own special hip-hop dance rendition to Michael Jackson's "Thriller."
