Cavaliers Dynamic Duo Amanda Greco and Jonny Greco Take Their Championship-Caliber Talents to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver

CLEVELAND, OH - January 27, 2010 - Amanda and Jonny Greco are no strangers to putting on championship-caliber in-game entertainment and video productions. That’s exactly the reason the husband and wife team, she the Director of Game Presentation, and he the Director of Video Production for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena, were selected to bring their talents to Vancouver, Canada for the 2010 Winter Olympics February 12th-28th.

Having also worked at the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Amanda and Jonny look forward to once again working behind the scenes on an international stage where quite literally the whole world is watching. There is one major difference this time around—in 2002 they didn’t even know each other! A lot has happened in the past eight years, but that’s another story...

In Vancouver, Amanda will produce the high profile figure skating and short track competitions while Jonny will handle video production duties for one of Canada’s most popular sports, curling. Both will spend most of the month of February “on loan” in the ice village feeling confident that things back home at The Q will be in good hands. “This is truly an honor to work the Olympic Games again, and an incredible statement about the strength of the entire Cavaliers game presentation team to be able to seamlessly cover for Jonny and I,” said Amanda.

“The fact that the Cavs are not only permitting us to leave during the season, but encouraging us to do so, is phenomenal,” added Jonny. “We have such an awesome opportunity to enter the international stage and bring home everything we’ve learned to make our game presentation team uniquely better.”

The Cavaliers game entertainment presentation is considered to be one of the top in the NBA and the Cavaliers players themselves have credited it in helping the team establish one of the best home court advantages in the league over the last several seasons. “It is with great pride that we will be ‘lending’ Jonny and Amanda to the Vancouver Olympic Games,” said Tracy Marek, Cavaliers senior vice president of marketing. “It’s such an amazing achievement for them personally and a statement about the Cavaliers Game Entertainment Team as a whole. We are so proud that we have the best talents in the business on our team and their work is being noticed.”

The Grecos continue the string of national and international assignments and recognition that members of the Cavaliers Game Entertainment team have received, including the recent announcement that in-arena host Ahmaad Crump was selected by the NBA to be an in-arena host for this year’s All-Star Game on February 14th in Dallas, Texas. Additionally, Cavaliers public address announcer Olivier Sedra was selected by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) to be an announcer for the basketball events at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The Cavalier Girls and Scream Team dance teams have been invited by the NBA for various appearances at home and around the world.
